IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA TERHADAP KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA DI SMK FARMASI MAJENANG

Abstract


Abstract: Schools are formal institutions designed by the state to enhance the quality of individuals through education. The formation of character is inseparable from the roles of parents, teachers, and the community. Religious education in schools should ideally be persistent and contribute to the internalization of religious spirit within students. Religious-based education should play a synergistic role with a new paradigm offered in solving adolescent social problems. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The research was conducted at SMK Farmasi Majenang, Cilacap Regency, an A-accredited school. Primary data sources were obtained through interviews with the vice-chair of the curriculum, Islamic education teachers, several students, and direct observations. Meanwhile, secondary data were obtained through documents and literature related to the research problem. The implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping students' religious character takes place from the moment they arrive at school until they leave. The responsibility for character formation is not only on the homeroom teachers but applies to all, including PAI teachers, other teachers in the school, Guidance and Counseling teachers, and educational staff.
