Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics in 2022, Indonesia is a country with a population of 272,682,500 people with a Muslim population of more than 207 million people. Thus the country of Indonesia has a very big opportunity to become a halal food producer. The halal industry is one of the topics currently being widely discussed in the international business environment. Bangkalan Regency is one of the areas with the largest number of MSMEs in Madura, which is around 22,500 MSMEs. However, ironically, almost all MSMEs in the Regency do not yet have halal certification. This is evidenced by data obtained from the Office of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises and the Office of Industry and Trade of Bangkalan Regency. It is hoped that this research can provide solutions to the problems that are currently happening. This study aims to investigate and identify the challenges faced by MSMEs in Bangkalan Regency when trying to obtain halal certification. Through documentation, interviews, and observations, data is collected
