RESILIENSI SINGLE MOTHER MADURA: POTRET KETAHANAN PEREMPUAN PEDESAAN MADURA YANG HIDUP TANPA SUAMI

Abstract


Madura merupakan salah satu wilayah dengan jumlah perempuan dengan status single mother yang tergolong tinggi, baik dengan alasan cerai mati maupun cerai hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menjelaskan resiliensi single mother Madura yang hidup tanpa suami. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah psikologi fenomenologi dengan melibatkan partisipan single mother yang berasal dari Madura dan beberapa informan penelitian sebagai validator dan konfirmator data. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik snowball sampling melalui wawancara semi terstruktur yang dilakukan secara mendalam setelah melakukan persetujuan informed consent kepada para partisipan dan informan penelitian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) dan uji kredibilitas data menggunakan teknik member check. Hasil penelitian menemukan 4 tema utama, yakni dinamika emosional (penyesalan, sedih, konsep diri negatif, dan penerimaan), kekuatan internal (kepercayaan diri, pengendalian diri, regulasi emosi, tanggung jawab, dan spiritualisme), kekuatan eksternal (dukungan sosial dan dukungan keluarga), dan hambatan (stigma social, konflik antar keluarga, dan masalah finansial) yang dialami single mother Madura selama pencapaian resiliensi. Secara keseluruhan, kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa single mother Madura memiliki ketahanan atau resiliensi selama hidup tanpa suami meskipun membutuhkan proses setelah mengalami masa-masa sulit di awal. Temuan penelitian berkontribusi dalam memahami dan membantu perempuan single mother Madura dalam mencapai resiliensi selama hidup tanpa suami.
