1. Maharot : Journal of Islamic Education was established on Juny 10, 2017 with editor in chief  Mr. Dr. Mashuri Thoha, M.Pd.
2. In Juny 20, 2017 ISSN (online) successfully registered with ISSN (Online) 2580-3999 and ISSN (Print) 2580-3980.
3. In December 2020 there was a reshuffle of the management of Maharot: Journal of Islamic Education.
4. On 9 April 2021 the post of editor-in-chief was diverted from Mr. Dr. Mashuri Thoha, M.Pd.I., to Mr. Ahmadi, S. Th.I., M.Ag.
5. In february 2021 Maharot : Journal of Islamic Education began to be indexed in Moraref.
6. In March 2021 Maharot : Journal of Islamic Education began to be indexed in Base.
7. In December 2021 Maharot : Journal of Islamic Education began to be indexed in Garuda.
8. In January 2022 Maharot : Journal of Islamic Education began to be registered with Crossref, and already has a DOI (Document of Index).
9. In March 2022 Maharot : Journal of Islamic Education began to be indexed in Dimensions.
10. Starting from Volume 6 Issue 1 2022, Maharot : Journal of Islamic Education template changes the format of the article title consisting of 2 language versions, namely Indonesian and English.
11. Starting from Volume 6 Issue 1 2022 the journal logo is added into the template of Maharot : Journal of Islamic Education.
12. Starting from Volume 6 Issue 1 2022 the license logo is added into the template of Maharot : Journal of Islamic Education.
13. Starting from Volume 6 Issue 1 2022 the font of the article in template is changed from Brill to Cambria.
14. The journal has been accredited (SINTA 5) by The Ministry of Research Tecnology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia decree (SK Dirjen Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi) number 204/E/KPT/2022.
15. Starting from Volume 7, Issue 2023, the journal's license has been changed from CC BY-NC to CC BY-NC-SA 4.0
